Job Overview
Ecolab Senegal is seeking a Sustainable Packaging Solutions Engineer to lead the development and implementation of eco-friendly packaging technologies in Tambacounda. This role is pivotal in designing packaging solutions that minimize waste, reduce carbon footprints, and align with global sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype biodegradable and recyclable packaging materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable packaging into production workflows.
- Conduct lifecycle assessments to evaluate environmental impacts of packaging solutions.
- Research and implement industry best practices for waste reduction and resource efficiency.
- Provide technical support to clients on sustainable packaging adoption strategies.
Required Skills
- Expertise in sustainable materials and circular economy principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software and materials testing tools.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating environmental performance metrics.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication abilities.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and other sustainability certification standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree in Sustainable Design or related field is an asset.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in packaging engineering or sustainable materials development.
- Proven track record in implementing eco-friendly manufacturing solutions.
- Experience in Senegal’s industrial or agricultural sectors is preferred.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 XOF annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
