Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and implementing circular economy frameworks for manufacturing processes in Senegal. The consultant will collaborate with local industries to optimize resource use, reduce waste, and integrate sustainable practices. The position is ideal for professionals passionate about environmental stewardship and systemic change in industrial ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop circular economy strategies for manufacturing clients in Senegal.
- Conduct lifecycle assessments of products and processes to identify waste reduction opportunities.
- Design closed-loop systems for material recovery and reuse.
- Train local teams on sustainable manufacturing best practices.
- Monitor and report on the environmental impact of implemented solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align projects with global sustainability goals.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in circular economy consulting or sustainable manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in waste management and resource optimization.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Sustainability or Circular Economy is a plus.
Experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience in sustainability consulting or manufacturing operations.
- Experience working in African markets or emerging economies is advantageous.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience.
