Job Overview
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing the end‑to‑end flow of raw materials, finished goods, and information across CEMEX’s Kaolack operations. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the analyst will leverage data analytics, forecasting techniques, and process improvement methodologies to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and high service levels for internal stakeholders and external customers. This position is integral to CEMEX’s commitment to operational excellence and supports the broader goal of delivering reliable building solutions throughout Senegal.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, cleanse, and analyze supply chain data from ERP, WMS, and transportation management systems.
- Develop accurate demand forecasts and inventory optimization models to minimize stock‑outs and excess inventory.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rate, lead time, and logistics cost, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams to align supply plans with business objectives.
- Support the implementation of digital tools, including AI‑driven demand sensing and real‑time tracking dashboards.
- Prepare ad‑hoc analyses for special projects, such as new product launches or market expansion initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, customs procedures, and CEMEX’s internal policies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Understanding of supply chain concepts, including demand planning, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non‑technical audiences.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma Green Belt are considered an advantage.
Experience
Applicants should have 2‑4 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or operations within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and exposure to the West African market are highly desirable.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 1,200,000 to 1,800,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a pension scheme.
