Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize mineral processing flowsheets to maximize gold recovery.
  • Monitor and analyze plant performance metrics to identify efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with geologists and metallurgists to refine ore processing techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for processing equipment and systems.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in mineral processing software (e.g., HSC Chemistry, JKSimMet).
  • Strong analytical skills for process optimization and data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of gold extraction methods (cyanide leaching, gravity concentration).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.
  • Fluency in English and French.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in mineral processing, preferably in gold mining operations.
  • Experience with Senegal’s mining regulations and environmental compliance frameworks.

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
