Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Digital Supply Chain Optimization Manager to lead our digital transformation initiatives in Kolda, Senegal. This strategic role involves designing, implementing, and managing digital solutions that enhance supply chain visibility, efficiency, and resilience. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to identify optimization opportunities, develop digital roadmaps, and drive the adoption of innovative technologies such as IoT, AI, and blockchain in supply chain operations.
The Digital Supply Chain Optimization Manager will be responsible for analyzing current supply chain processes, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and developing data-driven solutions that improve performance and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital supply chain strategies that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Lead the identification and evaluation of digital technologies for supply chain optimization, including IoT sensors, AI algorithms, and blockchain solutions
- Collaborate with clients to understand their supply chain challenges and develop customized digital solutions
- Manage the end-to-end implementation of digital transformation projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and support
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives
- Train and mentor supply chain teams on the use of digital tools and technologies
- Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in digital supply chain management
- Coordinate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of digital solutions with existing systems
- Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, outcomes, and return on investment
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices
- Proven experience with digital transformation technologies such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and blockchain
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
- Project management expertise, including experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and manage diverse teams
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analytics tools
- Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of West African supply chain dynamics and regulatory requirements
Education
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Additional certifications in digital transformation, project management, or supply chain analytics are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a strong academic background combined with practical experience in implementing digital solutions in logistics or supply chain contexts.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management with at least 3 years focused on digital transformation initiatives. Experience should include hands-on implementation of digital technologies in logistics operations, project management of complex supply chain projects, and leadership of cross-functional teams. Previous experience working in emerging markets, particularly West Africa, will be considered a significant advantage.
