Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Museum Collections Manager to join our team in Dakar, Senegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing our digital collections, including the digitization of museum objects, the creation of digital exhibitions, and the development of online engagement strategies.
The Digital Museum Collections Manager will work closely with our curatorial and education teams to develop and implement digital projects that support the museum’s mission and goals. The successful candidate will have a strong background in digital collections management, as well as excellent project management and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the museum’s digital collections, including the digitization of museum objects and the creation of digital exhibitions.
- Develop and implement online engagement strategies to promote the museum’s digital collections and exhibitions.
- Work closely with curatorial and education teams to develop and implement digital projects that support the museum’s mission and goals.
- Develop and manage budgets for digital projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the successful implementation of digital projects.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Museum Studies, Digital Humanities, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in digital collections management or a related field.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Strong background in digital collections management, including digitization, digital exhibitions, and online engagement strategies.
- Experience working with digital collections management systems and software.
Education
