Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and managing waste reduction programs in Kolda, Senegal. The specialist will collaborate with municipal authorities, NGOs, and private stakeholders to optimize waste collection, recycling, and disposal processes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement waste management strategies for urban and rural areas
- Conduct waste audits and assess landfill operations
- Train local teams on sustainable waste sorting and recycling techniques
- Monitor compliance with national environmental policies
- Collaborate with municipal governments to improve waste infrastructure
- Prepare reports on waste management performance and sustainability impact
Required Skills
- Proven experience in waste management or environmental consulting
- Knowledge of Senegal’s environmental regulations and waste policies
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, GIS)
- Bilingual in French and local languages (Wolof, Pulaar preferred)
- Problem-solving skills for complex waste system challenges
Education

Experience
- 3-5 years in environmental services or municipal waste programs

Salary
350,000 – 450,000 XOF monthly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
