Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement energy-efficient food processing systems for grains and oilseeds.
- Collaborate with agronomists to reduce post-harvest losses using eco-friendly technologies.
- Monitor and improve water usage and waste management in processing facilities.
- Ensure compliance with international food safety standards (ISO 22000, HACCP).
- Conduct feasibility studies for solar-powered processing units in rural Senegalese communities.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in food engineering software (e.g., Aspen Plus, AutoCAD).
- Experience with sustainable manufacturing practices and circular economy principles.
- Strong analytical skills for optimizing production yields and reducing carbon footprint.
- Fluency in French and English; working knowledge of local languages (e.g., Wolof) preferred.
- Project management expertise for cross-functional teams in agricultural value chains.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
- Master’s Degree in Sustainable Systems or Environmental Engineering preferred.
Experience

Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 Senegalese Pula (SSP) annually, commensurate with experience.
