Job Overview
IBM Senegal is seeking a dynamic Data Analyst to join its Business Intelligence team in Mbour. This role involves analyzing complex datasets to derive actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making for clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics tools to optimize business processes and drive innovation in the Senegalese market.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, and R.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Conduct statistical analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations in data.
- Present findings to senior management and clients through clear, data-driven presentations.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business outcomes.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative environments.
- Knowledge of Senegalese market trends and challenges is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science or Business Analytics are preferred.
Experience
2-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field. Experience in the technology or consulting sector is a strong advantage.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
