Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security gaps.
- Develop and maintain security standards and policies aligned with international frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST.
- Lead the response team during critical security incidents and perform detailed forensic analysis.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to secure hybrid-cloud environments and API integrations.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior security analysts and engineers.
- Evaluate new security technologies and conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) trials for deployment.
Required Skills
- Expertise in network security protocols, encryption standards, and identity access management (IAM).
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for security automation.
- Deep knowledge of Cisco security product suites (Umbrella, Duo, Stealthwatch).
- Strong analytical skills for threat hunting and behavioral analysis.
- Excellent communication skills to present security risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
Education
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CCIE Security are highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage during the selection process.
Experience
The ideal candidate must possess 7 to 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in an architectural or lead role. Proven experience in designing secure networks for large-scale enterprises is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of successfully mitigating large-scale security breaches and implementing enterprise-wide security governance. Experience with Employment in Senegal or other emerging markets is a plus.
