Job Purpose
The Brand Communications Manager will be responsible for shaping and delivering Wave’s brand identity in Senegal through impactful storytelling, strategic communication, and high-quality brand experiences. The role ensures consistent messaging that reflects Wave’s mission, values, and vision of financial inclusion.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in brand marketing, communications, or related fields
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline
Experience in FinTech, telecommunications, or international organizations preferred
Strong experience in leading cross-functional and project-based initiatives
Expertise in storytelling, brand strategy, content creation, and social media
Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
Knowledge of the Senegal market is an advantage
Must have work authorization in Senegal
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end execution of brand and community initiatives aligned with company goals
Develop and evolve brand identity, messaging frameworks, and tone of voice
Ensure consistent communication across all markets and channels
Lead creative development for campaigns in collaboration with agencies and internal teams
Produce high-quality brand content and marketing assets
Partner with PR, HR, and internal teams to develop storytelling strategies
Support internal and external communications including events and campaigns
Strengthen brand visibility and trust through strategic communication
