Orange Senegal is seeking a Smart City Solutions Specialist to lead the design and implementation of integrated urban technology systems in Saint-Louis. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage smart city initiatives including IoT-based traffic systems, energy-efficient lighting, and waste management solutions
  • Collaborate with municipal authorities to integrate digital infrastructure into urban planning frameworks
  • Design data analytics platforms to optimize public service delivery and resource allocation
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new smart city projects and secure funding through public-private partnerships
  • Train local teams in the operation and maintenance of smart infrastructure systems

Required Skills

  • Expertise in urban planning software (e.g., ArcGIS, CityEngine) and smart city technologies
  • Strong background in data analysis and visualization tools (Python, Tableau)
  • Experience with IoT deployment and network infrastructure management
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination abilities
  • Fluency in French and English

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees in Smart City Technologies or Sustainable Development are preferred.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in urban development projects, with a focus on digital transformation initiatives. Prior work in African urban environments is an asset.

Salary

1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP/month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
