Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage smart city initiatives including IoT-based traffic systems, energy-efficient lighting, and waste management solutions
- Collaborate with municipal authorities to integrate digital infrastructure into urban planning frameworks
- Design data analytics platforms to optimize public service delivery and resource allocation
- Conduct feasibility studies for new smart city projects and secure funding through public-private partnerships
- Train local teams in the operation and maintenance of smart infrastructure systems
Required Skills
- Expertise in urban planning software (e.g., ArcGIS, CityEngine) and smart city technologies
- Strong background in data analysis and visualization tools (Python, Tableau)
- Experience with IoT deployment and network infrastructure management
- Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Fluency in French and English
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees in Smart City Technologies or Sustainable Development are preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in urban development projects, with a focus on digital transformation initiatives. Prior work in African urban environments is an asset.
Salary
1,200,000 – 1,800,000 SSP/month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
