Job Overview

The Network Security Analyst will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Orange Senegal’s network assets against emerging cyber threats. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and mitigate potential threats.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests on routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the Network Operations Center to ensure secure configuration and patch management of network equipment.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to technical teams and end‑users.
• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting risk posture and remediation progress.
• Stay updated on the latest cyber‑threat intelligence, trends, and emerging technologies relevant to telecommunications.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN) and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP).
• Hands‑on experience with security tools such as Splunk, QRadar, Nessus, or OpenVAS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks like GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
