Job Overview

The Network Operations Analyst will join Orange Senegal’s Network Operations Center (NOC) in Saint‑Louis, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the carrier‑grade network infrastructure. The analyst will monitor real‑time traffic, diagnose incidents, and coordinate remediation efforts with engineering teams. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance metrics using NOC tools and dashboards to detect anomalies and potential service degradations.
• Investigate and resolve network incidents, coordinating with field engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to restore service promptly.
• Document incident reports, root‑cause analyses, and corrective actions in the ticketing system.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, providing 24/7 support for critical network events.
• Assist in capacity planning and performance optimization projects to ensure scalability of the network.
• Collaborate with the security team to identify and mitigate network‑related security threats.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of standard operating procedures and best‑practice guidelines.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of IP networking concepts, including routing (OSPF, BGP), switching, and MPLS.
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
• Experience troubleshooting network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) from vendors like Cisco, Huawei, or Nokia.
• Ability to analyze log files, syslogs, and SNMP traps to pinpoint issues.
• Excellent communication skills for clear incident reporting and stakeholder coordination.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or CompTIA Network+ are considered a strong advantage and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
