Job Overview
The Insurance Underwriting Analyst will play a pivotal role in evaluating risk, pricing policies, and supporting the underwriting team in delivering high‑quality insurance solutions. Reporting to the Senior Underwriting Manager, the analyst will assess applications, conduct detailed risk analyses, and collaborate with actuarial and claims departments to ensure profitability and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze insurance applications and assess risk exposure using quantitative and qualitative methods.

- Collaborate with actuaries to develop pricing models that align with market trends and company profitability goals.
- Maintain accurate records in underwriting systems and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Assist senior underwriters in negotiating terms with brokers and large corporate clients.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risk patterns, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support the development of new insurance products tailored to the Senegalese market.
