Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Oil and Gas Exploration Geologist to join our team in Kaolack, Senegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the geological aspects of our exploration projects, including the interpretation of seismic and well data, and the identification of new exploration opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology, with a focus on oil and gas exploration. They will also have experience with digital technologies, including seismic interpretation software and geological modeling tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the geological aspects of exploration projects, including the interpretation of seismic and well data
• Identify new exploration opportunities and develop strategies for their evaluation
• Collaborate with other teams, including geophysics and drilling, to ensure the successful execution of exploration projects
• Develop and maintain geological models, including 3D seismic interpretations and geological maps
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and methodologies in oil and gas exploration, and apply these to our operations

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in oil and gas exploration, with a focus on geological interpretation
• Experience with digital technologies, including seismic interpretation software and geological modeling tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in oil and gas exploration, with a focus on geological interpretation
