We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Forestry Management Specialist to join our team in Tambacounda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to improve forestry management practices in Senegal.

Job Overview

The Digital Forestry Management Specialist will work closely with our forestry team to design and implement digital tools and platforms to support sustainable forestry practices. The role will involve conducting research, analyzing data, and developing recommendations for improving forestry management in Senegal.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in forestry, conservation, or a related field, and experience in digital solutions development. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to improve forestry management practices in Senegal
  • Conduct research and analyze data to inform forestry management decisions
  • Design and implement digital tools and platforms to support sustainable forestry practices
  • Work closely with our forestry team to develop and implement forestry management plans
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and private sector partners

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in French and English
