Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Agriculture Extension Specialist to join our team in Fatick, Senegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and training to farmers, agricultural extension agents, and other stakeholders on the use of digital agriculture tools and technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural science, agronomy, or a related field, with experience in digital agriculture, extension services, or a related field. The candidate should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and training to farmers, agricultural extension agents, and other stakeholders on the use of digital agriculture tools and technologies.
  • Develop and implement training programs for farmers and extension agents on digital agriculture tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector companies, to promote the adoption of digital agriculture tools and technologies.
  • Conduct needs assessments and surveys to identify the training needs of farmers and extension agents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, extension agents, and other agricultural professionals.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in digital agriculture, extension services, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education
