Job Overview

The Construction BIM Coordinator will lead the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes for major construction projects in Saint‑Louis and the broader Senegalese market. This role is pivotal in ensuring that digital models are accurate, up‑to‑date, and effectively integrated across all project disciplines, from design through construction and handover. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project BIM execution plans, standards, and protocols aligned with Vinci’s global BIM framework.
  • Coordinate BIM models across architectural, structural, MEP, and civil disciplines, ensuring clash detection and resolution.
  • Facilitate BIM workshops, training sessions, and coordination meetings with internal teams and external partners.
  • Monitor model integrity, version control, and data exchange processes using platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
  • Generate accurate 3D visualizations, quantity take‑offs, and construction sequencing simulations to support project planning and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to integrate BIM data into cost estimating, scheduling, and procurement workflows.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BIM software and hardware tools on site and in the office.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards throughout the BIM lifecycle.
  • Document lessons learned and continuously improve BIM processes based on project feedback.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and related BIM tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail for clash detection and model validation.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Project management experience with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of local Senegalese construction regulations and standards is an advantage.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. Candidates holding a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional or BIM Manager certification will be given preference.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five years of hands‑on BIM coordination experience on large‑scale construction projects, preferably within the West African region. Salary
