Job Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Fatick, Senegal. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental impact assessment and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects in a fast-paced environment.
The Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist will be responsible for leading and supporting environmental impact assessments for a variety of projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong communication and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support environmental impact assessments for a variety of projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and industrial projects.
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork to collect data and information for environmental impact assessments.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans and strategies to minimize the environmental impacts of projects.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to identify and address environmental issues and concerns.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental consulting, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in environmental impact assessment, including data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field.
Experience
5-7 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental consulting, or a related field.
