Job Overview
Ericsson Senegal is seeking a Digital Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to design, implement, and optimize next-generation telecommunications networks in Rufisque. This role is critical to advancing Senegal’s digital infrastructure and supporting the nation’s transition to smart cities and connected communities. The position offers opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies while contributing to national development goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy 5G and fiber-optic network solutions for urban and rural areas.
- Collaborate with government agencies and private sector partners to align infrastructure projects with national digital strategies.
- Conduct technical audits of existing networks to identify optimization opportunities.
- Lead training sessions for local engineers on advanced network management tools.
- Monitor network performance and implement security protocols to ensure compliance with international standards.
Required Skills
- Expertise in 5G network architecture and deployment.
- Proficiency in network optimization software (e.g., Atoll, NetAct).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and sustainability.
- Experience in cross-functional project management.
- Fluency in French and English.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in network design and implementation.
Salary
1,800,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
