Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Media Archivist to join our team in Dakar, Senegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the BBC’s digital media archives, including video, audio, and image files. The Digital Media Archivist will work closely with the BBC’s production teams to ensure that all digital media assets are properly cataloged, stored, and retrieved.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital media archiving, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the BBC’s digital media archives, including video, audio, and image files.
- Work closely with the BBC’s production teams to ensure that all digital media assets are properly cataloged, stored, and retrieved.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of digital media assets.
- Collaborate with other teams, including the BBC’s technical teams, to ensure that digital media assets are properly stored and retrieved.
- Provide training and support to BBC staff on the use of digital media archiving systems.
Required Skills

Education
