Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Payment Solutions Architect to join our team in Vélingara, Senegal. Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end digital payment solutions, including architecture, integration, and deployment strategies.
• Collaborate with product managers and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and guidelines.
• Ensure solutions are secure, compliant with regulatory standards, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Work with engineering teams to implement and test payment solutions, providing technical guidance and support.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in digital payments to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Coordinate with external partners, such as financial institutions and technology providers, to integrate third-party systems.
• Conduct performance analysis and optimization of payment systems to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Participate in project planning and estimation, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of digital payment technologies, including mobile payments, APIs, and blockchain.
• Proficiency in architecture design tools and methodologies, such as UML and TOGAF.
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and microservices architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Knowledge of security standards and protocols, such as PCI DSS and encryption techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and project management tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in architecture or financial technology are highly desirable. Relevant certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect or TOGAF, will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on digital payments or financial technology. Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale payment systems. Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships. Knowledge of the Senegalese or West African financial market is a plus.
