Job Overview

Bechtel is seeking a dynamic Urban Mobility Systems Analyst to lead data-driven initiatives in Kaolack, Senegal. This role will focus on optimizing public and private transportation networks through advanced analytics, urban planning, and stakeholder collaboration. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze urban mobility patterns using GIS and transportation modeling tools
  • Develop data-driven recommendations for public transit route optimization
  • Collaborate with municipal authorities to design pedestrian and cycling infrastructure
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for mobility projects
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Integrate climate resilience principles into transportation planning

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in transportation planning software (e.g., TransCAD, AIMSUN)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Python/R for data analysis
  • Knowledge of urban mobility trends and sustainable transportation practices

  • Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration abilities

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in urban mobility analysis, transportation planning, or infrastructure development. Experience in African urban contexts is a plus.

Salary

3,500,000 – 4,500,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience.
