Job Overview
This role involves designing, optimizing, and managing energy storage systems to enhance the efficiency of wind energy projects in Senegal. The ideal candidate will contribute to Vestas’ mission of reducing carbon emissions by integrating advanced battery technologies with wind farms. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and local stakeholders, to ensure seamless implementation of energy storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement energy storage systems integrated with wind energy infrastructure.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for battery storage projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to optimize energy storage performance and reliability.
- Monitor and analyze system data to identify improvements and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure compliance with international energy storage standards and local regulations.
Required Skills
- Expertise in energy storage technologies (e.g., lithium-ion, flow batteries).
- Proficiency in energy system modeling software (e.g., HOMER, MATLAB).
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of wind energy systems and grid integration principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in energy storage system design or renewable energy project management. Prior experience in wind energy projects is preferred.
Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
