Job Description (JD)
The Safeguarding Administrative Investigator will be responsible for conducting structured and confidential investigations into safeguarding incidents while ensuring adherence to MSF policies and international humanitarian standards.
Key Responsibilities
Investigations & Case Management
- Lead and conduct administrative safeguarding investigations
- Manage SEAH and misconduct cases with strict confidentiality
- Ensure evidence-based and structured case documentation
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and reporting accuracy
Safeguarding & Protection
- Promote safe and ethical humanitarian work environments
- Ensure survivor-centred and trauma-informed investigation approaches
- Support prevention of abuse, exploitation, and harassment
Compliance & Ethics
- Ensure adherence to MSF safeguarding frameworks and protocols
- Align investigations with humanitarian legal and ethical standards
- Support accountability mechanisms across missions
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed investigation reports and case summaries
- Maintain secure safeguarding databases and records
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Law
- Social Sciences
- Human Rights
- Criminology
- International Development or related field
Advanced certification in safeguarding, protection, or investigative practice is an advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3–7 years experience in:
- Investigations or compliance roles
- Safeguarding or protection work in NGOs or humanitarian settings
- Strong experience handling sensitive misconduct or abuse cases
- Experience working in multicultural and field-based environments
